A dab rig is a water-filtration pipe designed for use with concentrates, pairing a banger or nail with a compact water chamber to cool the vapor. Rigs are typically smaller than bongs to preserve flavor and deliver a smooth, concentrated draw.

How do you clean a dab rig?

Clean a dab rig by emptying the water and rinsing with warm isopropyl alcohol and salt, swirling to break down residue in the chamber and joint. Wipe the banger while it is still slightly warm with a cotton swab to prevent buildup between sessions.

What size dab rig is best?

Smaller dab rigs (5 to 8 inches) are generally preferred because a short vapor path preserves concentrate flavor and delivers denser hits. Larger rigs add more water filtration for cooler draws but can dilute taste, so the ideal size depends on whether you prioritize flavor or smoothness.
